Jack-O'-Lantern

DSC_0087

One of my most favorite times of year is coming up! We've been working on decorations here at home, so I decided to dig out all the Hallowee/Fall books. This one has an awesome cover..all orange with a black jack-o-lantern. It was from Booksavers so it's actually a discarded library book (so a little dirty).

Richard Scarry's Look & Learn Library-I found this amazing 4 volume set at a thrift shop a few years ago. It was $7 or something just as ridiculously cheap. Published in 1971 by Golden Press NY.

The set contains a hard cardboard slipcover that looks like an amazing brick apartment building. Inside 4 hardcover books absolutely filled to the brim with Richard Scarry goodness. He has always been one of my favorites. It was an almost impossible task to select just a few pages for photographing. I'll be coming back to these books for later posts for sure!
